The ObjectTWAIN™ 3.1 ActiveX
control is the best solution for developing scanning and document imaging
applications with high level languages such as C++, C#, Visual Basic®, Delphi™
and PowerBuilder™ or any other language that can use a COM (Component Object
Model) object.
There are many TWAIN components on the market, but ObjectTWAIN stands out with

TWAIN has many features that are designed for specific vertical market
applications, such as barcode scanning. ObjectTWAIN stands alone in it's direct support for every TWAIN
feature.
In addition the ActiveX adds
the ability to output TIFF and JPEG files with any TWAIN Data Source. If
your application requires JPEG data, for example, and your Data Source
does not support creating JPEG files, ObjectTWAIN will do this conversion for
you.
ObjectTWAIN also gives you control
over how image data is transferred from the scanner to your
application. You can ask that images be delivered as a DIB handle or
file, or you can take full control over the data being transferred from the
scanner, retrieving chunks of data as the image is being scanned. This
too is unique to ObjectTWAIN.

This is a fully-functional evaluation
version of ObjectTWAIN that you can use to develop and test your
applications. There will be a small reminder dialog that appears whenever
the control is created. You will be asked to enter a serial number when
installing; use the serial number OTX-DEMO0000.
Purchasing ObjectTWAIN
ObjectTWAIN's suggested retail is $249(US), including royalty-free redistribution
rights for one application.
